Insane = this idea, this would make no sense at all, for one, we paid for a game on the ps3 and 360, the same as everyone who bought the ps4, xbone and PC versions, to give them another insane amount of money would be ignorant on your part and anyone elses part.
People have complained about the mods being used in newer consoles and this is Blizzards way of trying to fight it, not a very good one, but eh w/e. Blizz may take the Xbone way out and tell you to "Deal with it" and to "Just buy the current gen version of the game", if you have enough money, go for it, but i wouldn't waste a penny trying anything like this, besides, what insanely dumb name would the kickstarter be labeled?
"Last gen Diablo 3 needs more modding" ?
"Give me money so i can buy more booze and play D3" ?
"Waste your money here" ?
