Here are the steps needed to extract your save so you can load it into the editor.
Xbox
Horizon
1. Create a new folder on your desktop. (I name it "extracted" just to keep it simple)
2. After locating your save in Horizon, click and drag the save into a backup folder. (This is very important and will save you headaches)
3. After backing up your save click and drag it to the middle of the screen in horizon. (Doing this will open a new window with all of the save details)
4. Click on "Contents" on the bottom right.
5. Click on "Extract All" on the bottom left. Navigate to the folder you created and click "OK". (Doing this extracts all data from your save. You don't have to edit everything but editor requires all of these files to load.)
6. You should be able to edit your save now. When you open the editor just select the folder that you created.
Importing the modded files into Horizon
1. To get the modded files back on Horizon, you will have to replace them with the modded ones from the extracted folder. Depending on what you changed you may have to replace 2-11 files.
2. To replace the file, right click on it in Horizon, click "Replace", and then navigate to extracted folder and replace it with the file that has the same name. If it has a different name, your game will freeze when trying to load in.
3. I've found when you make a lot of changes to your save it's best to replace everything, but if you only change a few things in one area then you only need to replace that one file.
*accounts.dat > This has your stash items, paragon levels, experience, and gold.
*0101010101.dat > Every character has a different number and as you edit your save enough you will become very familiar with it.
4. To get to the hero files in Horizon you have to click on "heroes". Doing this will show you all of the character dat files in your save.
Youtube Video5. When you're done replacing the files click "Save, Rehash, and Resign" and you're ready.
